Гостиничный оператор Marriott International Inc. открыл в Нью-Йорке новый отель, который является самым высоким в США. Об этом сообщается в официальном пресс-релизе компании.
В 68-этажном здании, расположенном недалеко от Центрального парка и Таймс-сквер, разместились сразу две гостиницы: Courtyard на 378 номеров и Residence Inn на 261 номер. Строительство башни вела компания G Holdings. Стоимость проекта оценивается в 320 миллионов долларов.
Как отмечает Bloomberg, высота нового отеля составляет 753 фута (230 метров). Большое количество номеров поможет удовлетворить постоянно повышающийся спрос на жилье со стороны туристов. В 2013 году Нью-Йорк посетили 54,3 миллиона туристов.
В феврале 2013 года в Дубае был открыт самый высокий в мире отель, высота которого достигает 355 метров. Гостиница JW Marriott Marquis из двух 72-этажных башен принадлежит холдингу Emirates Group.
