Телеканал CNN расторгнул контракт со своей бывшей сотрудницей Донной Бразил, летом назначенной на пост временного председателя Национального комитета Демократической партии США.
Ранее стало известно, что она подсказала кандидату в президенты Хиллари Клинтон вопросы, которые предполагается задать в ходе дебатов с ее соперником-республиканцем Дональдом Трампом. Об этом говорится в сообщении канала.
«Нам очень неловко в связи с тем, что мы узнали о ее взаимодействии с Клинтон, когда она была сотрудником CNN», – подчеркивается в сообщении.
Телеканал добавил, что никогда не предоставлял Бразил доступа к каким-либо вопросам, подготовительным материалам, списку участников, справочной информации.
Ранее сайт WikiLeaks обнародовал информацию, согласно которой Клинтон получала сведения о вопросах, которые будут обсуждаться в ходе дебатов, что давало ей определенные преимущества.
Контракт Бразил с CNN был приостановлен в июле, когда она была назначена исполняющей обязанности председателя национального комитета. Теперь она вообще не вернется в медиакомпанию.
Выборы президента США пройдут 8 ноября этого года. Соперники на пост главы государства провели три раунда дебатов, по итогам которых большинство зрителей отдали предпочтение Клинтон.
